Opposition chief Raila Odinga has called for shelving of premature campaigns ahead of the 2022 elections---Odinga urging leaders to stop early campaigns and instead focus on development---this as the Inua dada women league allied to deputy president William Ruto rejected the BBI referendum initiative as a selfish self-preservation drive to secure political office for a few individuals, as the embrace team drummed up support for the BBI referendum push.

Referendum crusaders continued to drum up support for the building bridges referendum push saying it was time the law was changed to foster inclusivity. ODM leader Raila Odinga led a section of ODM members in Siaya where they called on Kenyans to reject the punguza mizigo bill and instead back the building bridges initiative. Pro-referendum women leaders under the banner embrace, were in Mombasa where they asked Kenyans to support the BBI initiative.
