While looking for BB8 in the museum, I found a little bee on the floor. She was alive but very sluggish. So, we pulled out the hummingbird sugar water from the fridge and gave her some... she drank immediately and then flew off! We had to catch her with a net and put her outside. Good luck, friend! PS- we named it- Bartlebee.

Bees are VITALLY important to the health of ecosystems and agriculture around the planet. Please help a tired bee if you find one, don't kill them, and plant native plants for pollinators! Thanks guys!

Meet my juvenile Savannah Monitor, Mad Max! My boyfriend Kam feeds him superworms in this video. Max eats a variety of insects and occasionally, low fat meat like ground turkey or slivers of chicken. He also loves hard boiled eggs! Savannah monitors, also known as Bosc monitors, are an African species that grow to around 3 feet long. In the wild they mainly eat invertebrates, but juveniles are also known to eat amphibians.

Stick around tomorrow for a new video about some awesome and strange monitor species with a peculiar diet!

Sorry for the poor video and audio- I was on my way to the gym when I saw this beautiful timber rattlesnake on the busy highway. I moved it off the road and decided to give some identification pointers!

Also, forgive the vertical video- I don’t ever film that way but decided to do so to make it FB friendly!

Timber rattlesnakes are one of my favorite native species here in Georgia. As you can see, it was defensive NOT aggressive! It’s a myth that they’re aggressive. This is evidence of that fact! It was just upset because a giant predator (me) was up in its bizness.

It finally came time for our gator, Pluto, to go back to the farm he came from. He was with on an educational loan program. We'll get a new baby soon, but nobody can replace our Pluto. 😢

Thank you Pluto, for 2 years of letting thousands of people pet you! Thank you for helping teach people about reptiles!

This video is a theme collaboration with The Turtle Girl! After watching, go check out her awesome video on diamondback terrapin care in captivity: https://youtu.be/0byNR7A1u9w

---

Diamondback terrapins are one of my absolute favorite reptile species. I created this video to share a little about their biology, conservation challenges, and to share some of the awesome DBTs here in Savannah, including at Skidaway Island State Park and at the Tybee Island Marine Science Center. The MSC is also involved in their conservation by rescuing and raising baby DBTs for later release!

Special thanks to Chantal Audran of the Science Center for sharing her wealth of knowledge and showing her beautiful babies! Special thanks also to my newest Patron, Jesusangel (aka one of my BFFs), for supporting this channel! Thank you to my other Patrons as well- your support makes this content possible!
